HollywoodNews.com: Playing a demi-god and a master duelist is “a whole different dog,” according to Logan Lerman (“Percy Jackson”). In a new interview with Absolute Radio, Lerman–who was recently cast as rookie Musketeer D’Artagnan in Doug Liman’s “Three Musketeers” remake, to start production this fall–talks preparation for the role and how it differs from his experience as Percy Jackson.
Lerman describes his extensive training in fencing for the film, and says wryly, “In ‘Percy’ it was kind of easy to always look shocked and scared, because I was. I didn’t know what I was doing that much.” As D’Artagnan, however, Lerman won’t just be playing an out-of-his-depths reluctant hero: “He’s got to be the badass, the guy who’s great with a sword; the best in the world. We’re trying to make it look that way.”
Another big upcoming role for Lerman is that of Charlie alongside Emma Watson in “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” to begin filming in December. “The Three Musketeers” also stars Christoph Waltz, Milla Jovovich, and Luke Evans.
